Then perhaps he is better suited to be a friend. It seems if you do ever discover an affection for him, it will have to be after a platonic relationship is built, regardless. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. Romance isn't necessarily a concern here, in Ryslig. It will come when the right person crosses your path.
As for ser Javert, perhaps my metaphor has missed — I meant that whatever is happening with him needs to be fixed. He is not yet a necrotic limb, despite others believing that to be so. I am no fan of justiciars, but even then, I agree that there needs to be some manner of order. There is no judgement system beyond a lone man who deems himself judge, jury, and executioner.
Perhaps if monsterkind can actually work together, our issues would be fewer, but until then you're either involved or not. I choose to be not.
