WELCOME TO YOUR PRIVATE CHANNEL, ERIDANUS SUNGAZER.
FOR SECURE COMMUNICATION, USE 099.23.886.00 *** Archmage has joined 099.23.886.00 <Archmage> Hello, this is Eridanus Sungazer. <Archmage> In the event I am currently unavailable, please leave a message. <Archmage> I will answer back, promptly. If I feel you are worth the trouble. | ||||
<archmage>
He is... an interesting fellow. Not the friendliest, but he did "save" me, so I cannot dislike him.
Did you... enjoy yourself?
[Honestly, Eridanus cannot see how anyone that sour would be a pleasant companion.]
<a.dyer>
He had trouble relaxing at first. It's not like I'm going to hurt him.
I'm not sure if I did have a good time? Is it so much to just want to spend time with a guy who isn't a creep or you know, afraid of me?
<archmage>
It's not too much to ask, and... I think Altair is a good man.
He has a good heart, and Peace likes him tooโthough I don't know if you're familiar with her.
But he is incredibly stand-offish, and you are not. So I wonder if that is a good match, there.
<a.dyer>
True. I need someone who can be a bit more open with me. I also don't mind working at that either. Maybe her would trust me eventually. I'm not sure I want to worry about that right now though.
At least I have my cat. He's very sweet now that he's settled in.
<archmage>
[Rude alert.]
Have you named your pet, yet?
<a.dyer>
I did name the cat Gomez. He's fairly affectionate.
<archmage>
I have never heard of this "Gomez" name, is it a human one unique to your world?
Affectionate cats are nice. I how they sleep on your lap, it's cute.
<a.dyer>
God. Her actual Dad would like him and think Lucius was a hoot. ]
It's understandable.
I thought I could trust everyone here at first. I've learned that isn't the case. Peace trusts him and I trust Peace. That's enough for now.
It is! I got it from a show my Dad loves. He was inspired by one of the speeches the patriarch of the family made to his younger brother in one of the movies to approach my Mom.
She scared him a bit. He thought it was attractive.
<archmage>
Peace also thinks there is goodness in ser Javert, not to say she is a poor judge of character, but rather that she could befriend just about anyone it seems.
I would bear that in mind, if I were you.
<a.dyer>
it would be someone who makes my blood boil at first. I can be both passionate and dramatic. A guy like thatcould easily catch me off guard. Altair doesn'tmake me angry.
Even Peace has limit. I've seen them. The Inspector may have some issues he should address but I can see why Peace works for him still.
I like him too. He's always spoken to me like a gentleman on the network.
<archmage>
Does Altair make your heart race as if it's to burst from your chest? In my humble opinion you should find no one less to give your affections to.
As for ser Javert, he has made a commendable display of himself over the network, as of late.
When I had my dinner with Peace, I chose not to bring it up, because I respect her enough not to sour her birthday celebration.
Regardless, I feel I have the need to remind you that manners do not make a good person. It is only in a person's actions may they be judged, and ser Javert has certainly shown the peninsula his actions a-plenty.
Optimism is in short supply and certainly worth nurturing โ but when a wound is festering you gouge out the dead meat to dress it before your whole limb goes necrotic, do you understand?
<a.dyer>
She's too careful with her heart these days to know if anyone makes it race. ]
I have no idea how he makes me feel. Right now he confuses me. Frankly it's like I feel relaxed near him.
Which isn't bad. I just have no idea if he could even make me blush.
True. While I respect him I am concerned he has no other monster police working with him. It's not safe for one man to operate alone. He could lose sight of what he should be doing.
He needs help, not judgement.
<archmage>
Then perhaps he is better suited to be a friend. It seems if you do ever discover an affection for him, it will have to be after a platonic relationship is built, regardless.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. Romance isn't necessarily a concern here, in Ryslig.
It will come when the right person crosses your path.
As for ser Javert, perhaps my metaphor has missed โ I meant that whatever is happening with him needs to be fixed. He is not yet a necrotic limb, despite others believing that to be so.
I am no fan of justiciars, but even then, I agree that there needs to be some manner of order. There is no judgement system beyond a lone man who deems himself judge, jury, and executioner.
Perhaps if monsterkind can actually work together, our issues would be fewer, but until then you're either involved or not.
I choose to be not.
<a.dyer>
I thought AM was working at the prison? Not that he's any better to be fair. I still don't like him. He's creepy.
Frankly I think I don't know enough to help or hinder things. Plus I don't make choices at this time of day as a rule. I just know I don'twant to get involved in whatever is going on right now.
<archmage>
Do not fret Annie, I frequently cannot sleep, so if you ever need someone to talk to in these late hours, please feel free to contact me.
Also, I know naught if AM works at the prison, I don't really care to know about him.
Regardless, you are wise to remain uninvolved. I find myself disgusted by what has happened, but ultimately, I am not invested enough to do something myself about it.
ser Javert will get his comeuppance certainly, just not by my hand. I am not the "justice" type.
<a.dyer>
Mmm. I should try sleeping or I'm going to have a huge headfache later.
He did the last time I was there. I was delivering a prisoner. AM was a little too cereepy. He put his hand on my shoulder.
I'm barely old enough to participate in my government back home. Wyh start one now?
[ There are enough little errors to let Eridanus know Annie is loosing energy fast. ]
<archmage>
Perhaps we can continue this conversation at a more decent hour Annie, your words are littered with mistakes.
Perhaps we can grab coffee next time.
<a.dyer>
[ That is entirely unintelligible. Your formerly human teenager may have just zonked right out on the keyboard. ]
